They are a delicious cinnamon swirled bread, covered with cream cheese frosting and decorative sanding sugar (we include these on the side for the recipient to be able to decorate upon arrival). Baby, mask, and beads also included.

The Mardi Gras celebration began in New Orleans in 1837. The carnival season has grown to become the city's largest celebration. The carnival  season starts on January 6, (Epiphany or the "Twelfth Night") the day when the Magi were said to have visited baby Jesus, and ends on Fat Tuesday (the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent). No Mardi Gras celebration is complete without a King Cake. The circular cake represents the circular path the kings took to prevent Herod from finding the baby Jesus.
