To celebrate National Nutrition Month (March), we're launching our blog that we're calling BREAD TALKS. We plan to explore the world of baking [with a focus on bread (of course!], nutrition as well as general health from the food that you eat.
We will be asking some local expert contributors as well as link to relevant information online.
We firmly believe that everything we do at Great Harvest is truly great: from the wheat sourcing, daily stone ground milling, full-bodied honey, artificial preservative and dough conditioner free, complete proving process, hand-made techniques all made possible by artisans that believe in our products. Our blog will explore why we are so meticulous about these details and how that comes together to balance nutrition, taste and texture in our breads, goodies as well as cafe items.
To kick off, here's an actual TED talk by baking master Peter Reinhart reflecting on the cordial couplings (wheat and yeast, starch and heat) that give us our daily bread.
Subscribe to our newsletter and we'll let you know not only when we post but also all the special creations that we bake throughout the year.
Appreciate any feedback and welcome your comments.
