BREAD CARE TIPS
Keep Your Loaves Fresh & Delicious!
** Cool it & Bag it!
Hot bread must cool completely before you bag it, or it will become soggy.
If you bring home hot bread, please wait about 2 hours before bagging.
Place the bread in a plastic bag and press out any extra air. Twist the top tightly and secure with a twist tie — a loose tie lets air sneak in and dry out your loaf.
Store your bagged bread on the counter, out of the sun.
** Warm it!
All of our breads are best slightly warmed.
To reheat, wrap in foil and place in the oven for 12–15 minutes at 350°F.
For a toastier loaf, leave uncovered at 300°F for 7–8 minutes — but keep an eye on breads like Challah or Virginia Rolls, which brown quickly.
This also works beautifully for Cinnamon Rolls, Swirls, or Monkey Bread — just place them on a plate or tray first.
** Store it!
• Yeast breads: Keep well on the counter 7–10 days. (Avoid refrigerating — it dries them out!)
• Sourdough and cake breads (Pumpkin, Coffee Cake, Apple Spice Cake): Counter 2–3 days, or refrigerate after that.
** Freeze it!
Our breads freeze wonderfully! For best results, double bag to prevent freezer burn and wait 24 hours after baking before freezing.
When ready to enjoy, thaw right in the bag for the best texture and flavor.
